This year’s Celebration will feature an inspiring lineup of community speakers who embody leadership, resilience, and service. Each speaker brings a unique perspective rooted in real experiences and a shared passion for uplifting others. From local educators and faith leaders to civic advocates and business professionals, our speakers will offer powerful messages that reflect the values and mission of our organization. Their stories of impact, perseverance, and vision for the future will leave guests both inspired and energized to continue the important work of building stronger communities together.

Our Celebration also serves as a platform to highlight the impactful work our Consistory is doing in the community—from youth initiatives to holiday outreach programs. It’s a time to honor service, deepen relationships, and ignite further collaboration.

Curtis Morrison is a retired educator who served as an assistant elementary school principal within the Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS). After his retirement, he and his wife, Angela, who is an executive with United Way, have been actively involved in community service and leadership roles. Curtis has been particularly engaged with the Junior League of Lafayette, where he has witnessed significant changes in the organization’s diversity and inclusivity over the years.

To provide hot, nutritious meals and fellowship to members of our homeless community, showing care, dignity, and compassion.

  • Create a warm, respectful environment where every person is treated with dignity.
